This blog was created to chronicle the rehabilitation of 1700 Vine Street, a vacant, condemned building in Over-the-Rhine. Reid and I purchased the building in January 2008 and have been spending our evenings and weekends fixing it up ever since. Construction is moving slowly, but one day we will move in and call this former-disaster our LEED certified home. While rehab takes a lot of time, we are both learning a lot and having fun! Thanks for joining us on the adventure. - Patty

patty its looking awesome!!! you would be glad to know I am considering opening up a retail store in the next year or so in OTR!! looking for my own rehab project!
I have mixed feelings about uplighting on buildings. It is a a neat look, however, I lived a building that was lit like this, and it was frustrating at night if you wanted to look down on the sidewalk, because you the light is glaring in your eyes. I think lights in the cornice and gooseneck lights on the ground floor only would be best.
