1700 Vine Street: Visions of a Sustainable Over-the-Rhine

This blog was created to chronicle the rehabilitation of 1700 Vine Street, a vacant, condemned building in Over-the-Rhine. Reid and I purchased the building in January 2008 and have been spending our evenings and weekends fixing it up ever since. Construction is moving slowly, but one day we will move in and call this former-disaster our LEED certified home. While rehab takes a lot of time, we are both learning a lot and having fun! New old windows from the interior view

The windows are not only beautiful from the exterior. The molding surrounding the second floor windows is complete, electric boxes for sconces between the windows are in place, and the plaster has been patched and primed. This one finished wall is a glimpse of the whole finished project. It's becoming easier to believe that this will be my living room in the relatively near future.
